On day two of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial in New York, the courtroom was gripped by emotional testimony from key witnesses—including singer Cassie Ventura and former male escort Daniel Phillip—as disturbing new details came to light.
Phillip testified that he was paid thousands of dollars to engage in sexual acts with Cassie at Diddy’s notorious “freak-off” parties—private, orchestrated events reportedly involving strict rules and hundreds of bottles of baby oil. These parties have now become a focal point of the prosecution’s case.
Cassie, who is currently heavily pregnant, took the stand once more, giving an emotional account of her decade-long relationship with Combs. She described being routinely coerced into sex with other men, mistreated, and manipulated. At one point, she claimed, Diddy dragged her across a hotel floor in a display of intimidation.
When asked if there was anything she ever found comforting during these traumatic events, Cassie broke down in tears. “The time spent with him,” she said, explaining that the parties were sometimes the only opportunities she had to be close to Diddy. Still, she confessed she felt “disgusting” and “humiliated” afterward.
Cassie also testified that some parties lasted up to four days and that Diddy enforced strict expectations for her behavior and appearance throughout. She recalled their first sexual encounter happening on a boat in Miami, where she was allegedly given ecstasy.
Despite the emotional and physical toll she described, Cassie said she tried to communicate her discomfort carefully—sometimes through email—out of fear of retaliation.
Sean Combs has pleaded not guilty to five federal charges, including sex trafficking, coercion, and racketeering conspiracy. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
The trial continues to shine a spotlight on troubling dynamics within celebrity circles, raising difficult questions about power, consent, and the price of silence.
