Cassie Breaks Down in Court: “The Only Thing I Enjoyed Was Being Near Him

On the second day of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial in New York, the courtroom heard harrowing new testimony from key witnesses, including singer Cassie Ventura and former male escort Daniel Phillip—both offering disturbing insight into the inner workings of Diddy’s alleged “freak off” parties.

Daniel Phillip testified that he was paid thousands of dollars by Combs to engage in sexual acts with Cassie, describing the highly controlled environment of the infamous parties. These events, now central to the prosecution’s case, reportedly featured hundreds of bottles of baby oil and came with strict rules for participants.

Cassie, visibly emotional and now heavily pregnant, took the stand again to recount years of alleged abuse during her decade-long relationship with Combs. She spoke of being coerced into sexual acts with other men, including Phillip, and enduring constant emotional manipulation. She described one incident where Diddy allegedly dragged her across a hotel floor, adding that intimidation was a regular tactic used to maintain control over her.

Cassie breaks into tears in court as she details only thing she enjoyed about Diddy ‘freak off’ parties

When asked if there was anything she ever found comforting about the so-called “freak offs,” Cassie broke down in tears. “The time spent with him,” she said quietly—explaining that the parties were sometimes the only moments she had personal access to Diddy. Despite those fleeting connections, she said she often felt “disgusting” and “humiliated” afterward.

Cassie testified that the parties could stretch on for up to four days, and Diddy imposed strict standards on how she looked and behaved during them. She also recounted their first sexual encounter, which allegedly took place on a boat in Miami while she was under the influence of ecstasy—suggesting a troubling pattern of coercion from the very beginning.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to all five federal charges, including sex trafficking, coercion, and racketeering conspiracy. If convicted, he could face life in prison.

As the trial continues, it’s casting a harsh spotlight not only on the allegations themselves but also on the broader culture of power, exploitation, and silence that has long shielded some of the music industry’s most influential figures.
