Lil Nas X Arrested and Charged with Four Felonies After L.A. Incident

LOS ANGELES — Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X, whose legal name is Montero Lamar Hill, has been arrested and charged with four felonies after allegedly assaulting police officers who found him walking naked in a Los Angeles street. The District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Hill, 26, was charged with three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer.

According to police reports, officers responded to a call early Thursday morning (August 21) about a man walking nude on Ventura Boulevard in the Studio City area. When confronted, Hill allegedly charged at the officers, leading to his arrest.

Police, suspecting a possible overdose, transported him to a hospital for several hours before he was taken to jail. Reports indicate that at the time of his arrest, Hill was wearing briefs and cowboy boots, not completely naked. He has since pleaded not guilty to the charges and has been released on $75,000 bail. His next court date is set for September 15.

The incident follows recent public disclosures by the artist about his health struggles. In April, Hill shared on social media that he was suffering from partial facial paralysis, which led him to cancel a headlining performance at a Pride festival the following month. At the time, he stated that he needed to “prioritize my health and getting back to 100%.”
