Justin Baldoni has reportedly made an incredibly bold move by attending a deposition given by his former It Ends With Us co-star, Blake Lively, as their legal battle continues.

Lively, who previously accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation following their work on the 2024 film, began her deposition on Thursday (July 31). While it was initially reported that only legal representatives, a court reporter, and a videographer were present, TMZ has now cited sources who claim Baldoni was also in the room.
This alleged attendance stands in stark contrast to a previous suggestion from Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, who in May proposed holding the deposition at Madison Square Garden, selling tickets, and donating the proceeds to organizations that help victims of domestic abuse. Lively’s representatives shot down the idea, stating the deposition should be treated as a “serious matter of sexual harassment and retaliation.”
The legal conflict began after Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni, who both directed and starred in the movie. Baldoni then filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, their publicist, and the public relations company. However, a New York judge dismissed the lawsuit in June.

Following the dismissal, Baldoni’s legal team insisted they would continue their fight, with Freedman telling ABC News that they would pursue “additional legal options” to defend against Lively’s claims. He stated, “The Court’s decision on the motion to dismiss has no effect whatsoever on the truth that there was no harassment nor any smear campaign.”
The case is set for trial in March 2026, where both Baldoni and Lively are expected to testify. UNILAD has reached out to a representative for Baldoni for comment on his alleged presence at the deposition.
