Singer-songwriter Maren Morris revealed on social media that a fan inappropriately touched her during a meet-and-greet ahead of her “Dreamsicle” tour stop in Michigan. The pop star used her Instagram Stories to address the incident, emphasizing the importance of personal space and respect for artists.
“Hi y’all. Tonight’s show was so fun, but someone grabbed my ass during [the] meet-and-greet before the show,” the 35-year-old wrote in a message to her fans. She clarified that she would not let the isolated incident stop her from future meet-and-greets. “I’m going to continue them because one person shouldn’t ruin it for everyone, but please know I’m there to connect, share, hug, all the things but please don’t override someone’s personal space. love you.”
The meet-and-greet incident is the latest event in a period of significant personal and artistic change for Morris, who has been publicly navigating new chapters in her life. The pop star embarked on her “Dreamsicle” tour in late May, supporting an album she says was deeply inspired by her 2023 split from ex-husband Ryan Hurd after five years of marriage.

In interviews, Morris has openly discussed documenting the “grief, anger, and sadness that follows” a major life change. She has since shared that she and Hurd, with whom she co-parents their 5-year-old son Hayes, are on amicable terms.

In a personal reveal, Morris came out as bisexual in June 2024 while celebrating Pride Month, a few months after her divorce was finalized. Her personal life has continued to draw public attention, with recent rumors linking her to reality star Justin Assada, though it remains unclear whether she is currently dating anyone.
