‘It Ends With Us’ Controversy Escalates: Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Lawsuit Heats Up

The legal battle surrounding the film “It Ends With Us” has intensified, with another actress, Isabela Ferrer, filing a new motion against director and co-star Justin Baldoni. Ferrer, who plays a younger version of Blake Lively’s character, claims Baldoni engaged in “inappropriate” and manipulative behavior after she was subpoenaed by Lively’s legal team.

The latest development comes as Lively and Baldoni prepare for a highly anticipated trial in March 2026. Lively initially accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, to which he responded with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against both Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. A federal judge in June dismissed Baldoni’s countersuit.

According to the recent filing, cited by E! News, Ferrer was subpoenaed by Lively’s counsel and sought to have her legal fees covered by Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, as per her contract. However, Ferrer’s lawyers allege that Baldoni’s team responded by demanding she “relinquish control of her response” to the subpoena. The motion claims that from that point forward, “Baldoni has tried to manipulate, threaten, control and otherwise act inappropriately towards Ms. Ferrer.”

Ferrer’s legal team further alleges that Baldoni filed a motion against her to “harass” her after she refused his requests. The filing describes Baldoni’s actions as a “broader pattern of conduct by Baldoni to bully Ms. Ferrer,” stating that she will not be “intimidated or extorted by any party to otherwise participate in the proceedings.”

In response, Baldoni’s team filed a motion describing Ferrer’s action as an “inappropriate attack.” They clarified that they did not initiate the subpoena against Ferrer and suggested that the case move forward without any communication “to, from or concerning Ms. Ferrer.” The case has been marked by a series of legal filings, including a subpoena for Taylor Swift by Baldoni’s lawyer in May, which was later dropped. Lively’s deposition in July was also struck from the court record after a judge ruled it did not need to be made public.
