Lil Tay Sparks Outrage After Calling 9-to-5 Workers ‘a Failure’

An internet influencer and rapper known as Lil Tay has ignited a firestorm of controversy with a shocking rant aimed at women over the age of 25. The former child star, who recently launched an OnlyFans account, claimed that those who still work a typical 9 to 5 job are a “failure.”

Lil Tay, who turned 18 on July 29, announced her presence on the NSFW platform on August 3. Less than a week later, she posted a screenshot that showed she had earned a staggering $1,024,298.09 in just a few hours. “One million dollars in a couple hours. I’m still the youngest one doing it for all the grown ass haters who’ve been hating since I was nine years old, look at me now,” the teen told her 2.3 million followers. She added that she “broke the f**k out of that OnlyFans record.”

Following her massive payday, the teen took to Instagram to encourage others to follow in her footsteps, leading to her highly controversial comments. “If you’re over the age of 25 and you’re still working in nine to five… you are a failure. Like by then you should’ve already made your bag – and ladies, every single one of you should drop the link like me. Like, just literally just make your bag.”

She also dismissed the importance of family and education. “Who gives a fck what anybody thinks? Screw your family, my family kick me out. I got disowned,” she said, adding, “But who gives a sht? I can literally buy their whole life if I wanted to. I’m good.” The influencer concluded by directly insulting formal education. “Also, f*ck education, ’cause Harvard was never gonna help me make eight figures. That’s why I dropped out of it, and I dropped the link instead.”

Her remarks have drawn widespread anger online, with many people quick to point out the flaws in her logic. One person commented, “If you’re 18 and your first thought is to open an OF…someone failed YOU in life.” Another user added, “So being a doctor means I’ll be a failure?” A third wrote, “Sorry girl but I’m going to college.”

Other social media users noted that Lil Tay’s entire brand is built on provoking anger to gain engagement, a practice known as rage-baiting. One person typed, “Y’all forgot lil tay was ragebaiting since she was young,” while another simply reminded her of her past, saying, “You was just ten years old.”
