Lindsay Lohan is choosing a healthy path for her younger self.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the New York City special screening of Freakier Friday on Monday, July 28, the actress, 39, revealed what she would do if she Freaky Friday swapped with her past life.
“Me as a teenager tomorrow now? I would go to the gym which I know I didn’t do then,” she says while laughing.
The star also opened up about Freaky Friday swapping with her 2-year-old son Luai, whom she shares with her husband Bader Shammas.
“Oh my gosh. I don’t know. I mean if I were him, I would go to the park as him because he loves to go to the park. And if he were me, he, I don’t know, he can’t have tea ’cause he is too young,” she tells PEOPLE. “Maybe ice cream.”
“Yeah, I probably have ice cream in my body first thing in the morning. Yeah. Vanilla ice cream,” she adds.
About Freakier Friday
Freakier Friday is the sequel to 2003’s Freaky Friday, which tells the story of Anna (Lohan) swapping bodies with her mother Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis).
The sequel sees Anna as a mother to her own teen daughter Harper (Julia Butters), while Curtis returns as Anna’s mother.
The teaser trailer begins with Anna and Tess having their palms read by a fortune teller (played by Vanessa Bayer) who hints that they could switch places once again.
Following a restless night’s sleep, the duo wake up in the wrong bodies again, but this time, Anna has swapped places with her daughter Harper, while Tess has swapped with Harper’s soon-to-be step sister Lily (Sophia Hammons), who is the daughter of Anna’s fiancé Eric, played by Manny Jacinto.
