Chaos Erupts After Beyoncé Concert as Escalator Collapse Leaves Dozens Injured

Dozens of fans were reportedly injured following a Beyoncé concert in Atlanta, after escalators at a nearby station allegedly collapsed.

The frightening incident unfolded at Vine City Station around 1:30 a.m., when crowds surged following the concert. Witnesses described a scene of chaos as fans rushed to leave, only for disaster to strike.

Emergency crews were seen carrying the injured on stretchers and in wheelchairs, according to FOX 5 reports. While the exact cause remains unclear, officials confirmed the situation is still under investigation.

Earlier that evening, Beyoncé delivered her third and final Cowboy Carter concert in Atlanta, turning up the heat with a surprise Jay-Z cameo and sweet onstage moments with her children.

Taking the stage at Mercedes-Benz Stadium at 8:29 p.m., Beyoncé closed her Southern tour leg with unforgettable performances on the Cowboy Carter and Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour.

Fans ignited a stadium-wide wave before her entrance, setting a vibrant tone for the night. Greeting the crowd, Beyoncé said: “Hello! I want to say thank you for your loyalty for so many years. If this is your first time experiencing these shows, welcome.

The Atlanta show marked her final Southern stop after two performances in Landover, Maryland, near Washington, D.C., with one of those on July 4, a date that resonated with the tour’s themes of American history, country music, and cultural identity.

Midway through the night, Jay-Z surprised the crowd, joining Beyoncé for Crazy in Love and his hit Public Service Announcement. It was only his second appearance on the tour, following a surprise show in Paris on June 22, making this his U.S. tour debut.

The couple shared a kiss onstage before Beyoncé launched into crowd favorites Partition and Drunk in Love from her 2013 self-titled album.

Another crowd favorite was their 8-year-old daughter, Rumi Carter, whose appearances have become a beloved highlight. She first charmed the audience during Protector, and on Monday night, she melted hearts again by mouthing “I love you” to cheering fans.
