Border Czar Tom Homan on Friday angrily condemned the violent confrontation at a California pot farm, asserting it as proof that anti-ICE protests will turn deadly. Homan blamed the inflammatory rhetoric of Democrats who he says compare immigration agents to Nazis.
Clash Details and Homan’s Warning
Homan’s remarks came the morning after protesters were observed hurling rocks – with one individual even appearing to fire a gun – at agents. These agents were cracking down on a massive marijuana operation where they discovered 10 illegal-migrant juveniles, eight of whom were unaccompanied by an adult.
“What happened in California is just another example of protesters becoming criminals, and they’ve been emboldened by even members of Congress who compare ICE to Nazis and racists and terrorists,” Homan stated on “Fox & Friends” Friday morning. He reiterated a previous warning: “I said months ago, it’s going to end up with a loss of life — and we had one the other day in Texas, and it’s not over,” referencing a recent incident where a gunman opened fire on Border Patrol agents in McAllen.
Confrontation at Glass House Farms

Immigration agents who descended on Glass House Farms in Camarillo, identified as one of Southern California’s biggest cannabis farms, were met by dozens of demonstrators. The protesters gathered on a road, shouting and screeching at the uniformed officers. Agents eventually deployed canisters with an unknown substance, forcing the protesters to retreat. According to ABC 7, several protesters then threw what appeared to be rocks back at the officers.
As the crowd pulled back, a masked man in all black reportedly fired a few shots amidst other protesters scrambling away from advancing agents. The clash lasted four hours as US Customs and Border Protection established a blockade with military-style vehicles in the pastoral region.
Investigation into Child Labor Violations
Video footage from ABC 7 showed numerous workers being taken into custody, though the exact number detained remains unclear. CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott announced late Thursday night that the farm is now under investigation for child labor violations. He confirmed that 10 juveniles – “all illegal aliens” – were found at the facility, with eight of them unaccompanied.
